We Are the Ones
A green butterfly fluttered North to the Cape.
To bring stories,
To bring joy,
And to bring laughter that sings.
For all whom she passes,
Transformation draws near—
Once a caterpillar herself,
She has journeyed here.
Learned to weave her cocoon,
Through His water and wine,
And became this great beauty,
with patience and time.
At the close of the week,
She must flutter on,
But she’ll always echo peace,
In days far beyond.
Her wings rekindled our hearts,
To speak loud and speak true.
Surrounded by faith,
Our wings will grow too.
